Assessor Clemons was raised in Arkansas and Kansas and lived in Liberty, Missouri for many years. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He has been a licensed real estate broker since 1968 and has held the designation of Certified Property Manager from the Institute of Real Estate Management since 1975. Jerry and his wife, Patti, owned and operated a successful real estate management business for 22 years and at the same time operated a general contracting business. Jerry also taught real estate courses at William Jewell College and Weaver School of Real Estate. In 1997, Jerry and Patti felt it was time to get out of the “rat race” and moved to the Sandpoint area. Jerry fell in love with the area in 1975 when he visited the resort in East Hope that Patti’s family had owned since 1964. They have 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Since moving here Jerry has been involved in home building and the automobile business. He also served 4 years (2001-2005) as Bonner County Commissioner and then as City Councilman in East Hope. Jerry is pleased and honored to be able to serve the great people of Bonner County once again.
The Assessor’s Office keeps a record of ownership changes, maintains maps of property boundaries, keeps descriptions of building characteristics, and keeps track of properties that have exemptions. If your opinion of the value of your property differs from the Assessor, please contact the office to discuss the matter. The Assessor’s Office will be glad to answer any questions you may have about the value of your property.
