One of the biggest struggles for victims of domestic violence is overcoming the financial hurdles leaving their abuser causes. One of the most highly used forms of abuse is   financial manipulation.Through donations and fundraisers, VAST is able to provide victims and their families with things such as the following:

  • Gas
  • Groceries
  • Diapers
  • Toiletries
  • Clothing
  • A place to stay
  • Bus/train tickets
  • Security cameras
  • Pre-paid phones and minutes

Through our knowledge of all community resources and what is available outside the doors of VAST, an advocate is able to determine the immediate needs of the family, provide them with these services, and refer them to the other resources within Bonner County. This effort and knowledge helps victims become self sufficient and able to make it on their own.

One of the most common reasons a victim goes back to their abuser  is  the inability to financially make it on their own.

It is our goal at VAST to eliminate that as a reason. You can help by making a monetary donation.
